"An Oasis in the Badlands" © 1905, Edward S. Curtis
A photographic exhibition of history through the eyes and cameras of America’s early photographers and photojournalists, who documented the Civil War Period and the American West. Featuring over fifty images from the U.S. Library of Congress, the collection has been compiled by the former TIME Magazine photographer Shelly Katz and meticulously restored and reproduced on museum quality, archival, fine art paper. The exhibition includes images by George N. Barnard, Mathew B. Brady, Sam A. Cooley, William J. Carpenter, Timothy H. O’Sullivan, and Edward S. Curtis.
